Oris Celebrates 60 Years of Divers

As the new watch year unfolds, Oris has made a delightful entry with the whimsical ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition, which features the beloved Muppet character elegantly incorporated into its automatic movement rotor.

Building on this playful vibe, Oris proudly launches the Divers Sixty-Five 60th Anniversary Edition, commemorating six decades since the brand introduced its first dive watch in 1965.

This watch was reissued in 2015, and enthusiasts have embraced this collection for its charming blend of retro style and modern upgrades, all drawn from Oris’s rich heritage.

A recent highlight in this evolution is the launch of the Divers Date, a model that hit the market in the fall of 2024.

Design and Features

This new anniversary edition distinguishes itself from earlier models with a sleek, minimalist design—eschewing the date function entirely.

Instead, it sports a luminous dial that showcases four bold Arabic numerals, echoing the classic aesthetic of its predecessors.

Oris has also paid careful attention to detail; authentic features such as the “Waterproof” inscription and the brand’s signature logo stand out against a sophisticated matte black background.

The stainless steel case measures 40mm in diameter and has a slim profile at 12.8mm high, designed specifically to endure water pressures of up to 100 meters.

Its bi-directional rotating bezel is marked with a 60-minute scale and features a luminescent dot at the 12 o’clock position.

This glowing detail, along with the distinct hands, indices, and numerals, is treated with Old-Radium Superluminova for excellent readability in low light conditions.

Under the hood, the watch is powered by a sturdy automatic movement built on Sellita technology, safely enclosed under a screwed-down case back, with a power reserve of 38 hours.

Customization Options and Pricing

Understanding that customers have varying tastes, Oris offers the Divers Sixty-Five 60th Anniversary Edition with both a three-link metal bracelet and a black leather strap, providing options to suit different styles.

The price for this commemorative piece is set at $2,500.
