Graham Winthrope was born in Bath, England. His fascination with timepieces began when he inherited his grandfather's 1940s Jaeger-LeCoultre at age twelve. Winthrope cut his teeth at auction houses in London, where he spent five years authenticating vintage watches. He then moved to Geneva, working as a restoration specialist for three years. Now based in New York, he edits WatchVibes while maintaining a small, appointment-only restoration workshop in Brooklyn.
