We’re excited to share the launch of the Hermétique Dual Time Enduropale Edition, a remarkable new chapter in the Hermétique series, brought to life through a partnership with the renowned Enduropale bike race.

Celebrating a Milestone

In 2023, Baltic debuted the Hermétique Tourer, a striking model that has quickly gained recognition as one of the best watches under $1,000.

This 37mm “GADA” (an acronym for “go anywhere, do anything”) timepiece boasts an appealing dial nestled within a charming vintage-inspired Borgel case—a perfect choice for anyone who appreciates a dependable watch that evokes nostalgia.

It’s become one of my top suggestions for friends just starting their own collections.

More recently, Baltic introduced four new models with bronze cases, but today’s focus is on the exciting new Hermétique Dual Time Enduropale Edition, elevating the series once again.

Design and Features

This limited edition watch celebrates a collaboration with Enduropale, the thrilling endurance bike race that takes place along the picturesque beaches of France.

With the year 2023 marking fifty years of this iconic event, Baltic saw a golden opportunity to create a unique timepiece to honor the occasion.

While the Hermétique Tourer primarily served as a field watch, the new Dual Time model brings in an internal rotating bezel, adding a fresh functionality.

Keeping many of its predecessor’s core features, the Dual Time retains the 37mm case size, water resistance up to 150 meters, a double-dome sapphire crystal, and the reliable Miyota 9039 caliber.

It also includes bold raised indices treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility.

The introduction of the internal bezel necessitated an additional crown at the 9 o’clock position—a choice that maintains the watch’s elegant symmetry while aligning beautifully with the case’s recessed crown feature.

Visually, the Hermétique Dual Time graces a more contemporary look compared to its time-only siblings.

Its color palette, while not derived directly from the race itself, pays homage to the motocross bikes of the 1990s.

This is not the first time Baltic has ventured into vibrant hues; similar tones were previously used in their fifth-anniversary Aquascaphe Dual-Crown model.

Specifications

The striking matte grey dial is complemented by a lively turquoise green.

This hue appears across various elements, from the minute hand to the “Enduropale” branding, and even a portion of the internal bezel and strap.

The bezel subtly highlights the three-hour duration of the Enduropale race, with an eye-catching purple accent marking the final hour.

To further enhance its appeal, a fading checkered pattern nods to the Enduropale logo.

On the caseback, laser-engraved artwork pays tribute to the race’s fifty-year legacy, spanning 1975 to 2025, along with the unique numbering of each limited edition piece.
